Classes
Classes are subjected to the Art League Cancellation Policy. If registration of minimum number of students is not met, the Art League may cancel the class session.
MONDAYS
Water - Media for Everyone with Monica Bankowski
Try a range of waterbased media each week, such as gouache, watercolor paint, watercolor pencils, water soluble pastels, India ink and Inktense pencils. Color mixing and techniques will be emphasized while creating a variety of subject matter from references and direct observation. Part of each class will focus on strengthening drawing skills, including line, shape, value, composition, proportion and perspective. Participants can choose one medium to use regularly or experiment with all media to find the right fit that meets their needs. Whether you are new to or experienced in drawing and painting, learn to sharpen your skills of observation and technique in a range of water soluble media.
Quilting with Lizzie Stebbins

$375 Member per 6 class session
Discover the art of quilting while building a strong foundation in essential techniques. Participants will learn how to accurately measure and cut fabric using a rotary cutter, mat, and ruler, piece quilt blocks with precise quarter inch seams, develop proper pressing techniques, and assemble quilt tops with confidence. Additional instruction will include layering, quilting, and a variety of finishing techniques as students advance through their projects. Throughout the class, students will work toward completing their own baby blanket or lap quilt to take home. Whether you are new to quilting or looking to refine your skills, this class offers a supportive environment to learn and create.
Sewing machines are provided. Maximum 5 students.

Enjoy dedicated sewing time while learning and connecting with fellow sewing enthusiasts.

Explore color, pattern, layering, and decorative techniques while learning how to achieve beautiful, lasting results. Marijke will provide inspiration and guidance throughout the creative process, encouraging artists of all ages to explore their own unique style. With an ever-changing selection of pottery and endless creative possibilities, every class offers a new artistic experience. All ages are welcome!
Stained Glass and Mosaics with Federico Scipioni

Inspired by generations of European artisans, Federico Scipioni developed a lifelong passion for the art of stained glass at an early age. Drawing on decades of experience, he shares both the artistry and traditions of this timeless craft with students of all skill levels. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced students will be guided through the process of designing, cutting, assembling, and completing original stained-glass pieces while gaining an appreciation for the rich history and enduring techniques that have defined the art form for centuries.

Hands on Clay with Stacey Frisch

Discover the creative possibilities of ceramics through timeless hand-building techniques, including coils, slabs, and pinch pots, as well as pottery wheel techniques. Stacey will guide participants through the fundamentals of working with clay while sharing tips and techniques for creating pieces that are both functional and beautiful. Explore texture, pattern, and surface design while learning basic ceramic terminology, glazing techniques, and the firing process. Whether you choose to create a bowl, mug, planter, or an entirely original design, this class encourages creativity and personal expression.
Acrylics with Carmen Kelley

Designed for both beginning and continuing painters, this class offers a welcoming environment to explore and develop skills in acrylic painting. Carmen brings her knowledge and love of painting to each lesson, encouraging students to grow in confidence, strengthen their skills, and develop their own artistic voice.
